Richard Branson is a famous investor, business magnate and philanthropist. He is the founder of Virgin Group which consists of more than 400 companies.

      Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson was born in Surrey, England on 18th July 1950. His parents were Edward James Branson, who was a Barrister and Eve Branson, who was a flight attendant.

      Richard Branson had dyslexia which made it hard to continue schooling. He was schooled at Scaitcliffe School till age 13. He was later transferred to Stowe School, which was a boarding school.

      Richard Branson dropped out from Stowe School at the age of 16 and started a magazine called Student which was based on young and youth culture.

      In 1970, while living in London, he started a Mail order record company called Virgin. The purpose of this company was to generate enough funds to continue his magazine.

      He was academically underprivileged but was talented to attach with others around him.

      In 1972, he built a recording studio in Oxford Shire, England which was named ‘The Manor Studio’. During 1980’s, Branson saw massive growth in his business and delivered several hits. It signed many controversial bands like Sex Pistols

      In 1992, Richard Branson faced financial crisis to keep his airline company Virgin Atlantic afloat and finally sold the Virgin label to the company THORN EMI.

      He owns more than five Estates and homes across the world, a beautiful yacht named Necker Belle; he owns three islands namely Necker Island, Makepeace Island and Moskito Island.

      He also owns two private jets Falcon 900EX, and the Virgin Galactic which is aimed at providing inter-galactic space travel.

      His favourite cars are Humble Super Snipe, a convertible car; Saab 9-5 BipPower car, 1968 Morris Mini-Minor and his Range Rover.
